Project idea:
The idea behind organising Media show is to get a large number of people representing media organisations worldwide under one roof. Invitees will include satellite channels, print media, radio and technology providers. The event will provide a platform for invitees to interact with one another and familiarise themselves with the latest advances in media-related technology worldwide.
The success which Qatar has organised several international conventions and expositions, including the fourth ministerial meeting of the world Trade Organisation (WTO), inspires us to go ahead with plans to hold international media exhibition and conference.
Objective:

To bring a large number of international organisations under one roof.

To encourage healthy competition among participants so they present the best of their products and services for the benefit, especially of Qatari, other GCC and Arab Citizens.

To attract businessmen and media personal from all over the world to the event.

To help improve media culture through the participation of the elite from the field worldwide. This will be first time that prominent people from the world media and technology providing companies will gather under one roof.

To encourage media related technology providers to showcase latest innovations in their services and products. This will help save Qatari companies and other local potential investors time and money in searching for the latest advances in the field of media and related technology.

The Media and Advertising Campaign Accompanying the Marketing
- To guarantee that the idea of the project would quickly reach the greatest number of interested people whether they are exhibitors or visitors from all states and sectors and therefore ensuring the marketing phase and the main aim of the project which is the marketing of Qatar, it is essential to support the campaign media wise with all potential and means the campaign was divided into three main sections.

- The slogan of the exhibition will accompany the readers of Al Sharq and Peninsula newspaper throughout the marketing period until the end of the exhibition.
- The events of the exhibition and conference will be covered by press such as the signing of contracts with financiers, the news of participants and the stages of completing the project.
- Advertisements of Gulf, Arab and International Newspapers.
- Specialist magazines.
- 30000 posters and 150 thousand pamphlets will be provided about the project as a first stage to cover the following
- Qatar Embassies abroad.
- Arab and International embassies in Qatar.
- Doha International Airport (Transit).
- Trips of the official carrier around the world.
- Gulf, Arab and International Chambers of Commerce and Agriculture.
- Offices of the approved agents around the world.
- Posters, Pamphlets.

- Offices of the service companies of the exhibitions (shipping, suppliers, hotels, transport).
Provision of stands carrying the poster of the exhibition and leaflet containing a brief about Qatar, the exhibition, and the conference based on the idea of "Take your free copy" and should be distributed to several locations including.
- Doha Airport (Transit).
- Approved Hotel.
- Main Post Offices.
- Offices of the official carrier.
- Offices of the financiers.
Audio and Visual
- Satellite and local stations (daily notices and messages) during the exhibitions.
- Internet (special page for the exhibition).
Cost of the First Sate (Marketing)
The first stage for marketing and supporting media campaign will cost (600,000 Qatari Riyals) which will be distributed as printed materials advertisements, visits and a special electronic pages for the exhibitions. Its details are as follows:

Conclusion
Dar Al-Sharq adopting this idea and important event is just performing a duty of the private sector in contributing the advance and development of our beloved country Qatar and exerting our best efforts to produce whatever is useful beneficial to it. All this will contribute to strengthen the foundations of democracy in the state of law and institutions as granted to us by our beloved Emir may Allah Almighty protect him.
The Board of Directors of Dar Al Sharq and the General Manager give great attention to this project and dedicate all available means to make it a success so as to come out in an honorable shape fitting our beloved State Qatar and our pioneering media organization irrespective of the material profit. This is a national duty through which Qatar can be viewed as a media capital.
